REQUEST FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE 4TH ANNUAL S.A.S.A. AWARDS RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE

On behalf of the South Asian Students' Alliance (S.A.S.A.) we would like to invite you to submit nominations for the S.A.S.A. Recognition of Excellence Awards being held at the S.A.S.A. Conference in Miami on Jan 4th - 8th 2007. As a fellow South Asian student, we know you recognize the importance of raising the visibility of our community and so we are seeking your suggestions for nominees for the S.A.S.A. Recognition of Excellence Awards will be given at a ceremony on the evening of Sunday January 7th 2007.

The S.A.S.A. Awards are a prestigious awards ceremony that recognizes outstanding individuals who have significantly contributed to increasing the profile, awareness, and impact of the South Asian community in America. The award acknowledges the achievements of key individuals, including up-and-coming members of the South Asian community and those from the American community in a number of key areas including political achievement, business / professional achievement, achievement in the media, the legal field and so on.

We expect some of the best-known names in the mainstream South Asian and American professional communities to be in attendance. The conference will be host to a number of prestigious speakers this year starting with our keynote speaker.

We cordially invite you and the members of your organization to submit nominations for the 2007 S.A.S.A. Awards. Input will be taken from ISA's, students and organizations that will assist in the S.A.S.A. Conference. A complimentary registration to the S.A.S.A. Conference will be given to anyone who first nominates an individual that eventually becomes an award-winner.
