Overview

The annual S.A.S.A. Culture Show has, over the years, become the focal point of the conference. It is the one place, outside the parties of course, that everyone gathers together to celebrate the culture and talents of South Asian youth in North America. In order for us to make the show more interesting, just as previous years, we are making it into a competition.

The show will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2007 at 5:00pm. It will be taking place inside the Julius Littman Performing Arts Theatre, which is located in the heart of North Miami Beach. This year, admission to the Culture Show is INCLUDED in the price of your registration- we want to make sure that all registrants have a chance to see and experience the talent of their peers.

The competition is open to all groups/individuals from any school throughout the U.S. and Canada. If you decide that your group or school would like to take part in the annual Culture Show, you must first fill out the application. If one was not sent to your school, you can get it online on the application page. As well, all groups must go through a video screening process, so as to ensure only the top acts will be on stage. Notwithstanding, the competition as a whole is going to be tough, which is exactly what we are aiming for. We want a quality show with quality acts, so the question is- Are you up for it?

A dress code will be enforced for the Culture show - Semi-Formal or Indian attire required. You will not be admitted with sportswear, jerseys, etc.

Congratulations to the University of Toronto for taking home the grand prize last year in New York for having the best overall performance!
