Welcome to the official site of the South Asian Students' Alliance (S.A.S.A.) Conference. We, the hosts and organizers of S.A.S.A. 2007, the I.S.A. at University of Miami would like to take this opportunity to invite you to take part in the largest conference for South Asian youths in North America. In fact, it is the only event of its kind.

A conference that not only concentrates on fulfilling an educational requirement but also has a keen focus on culture, and of course entertainment. Our goal this year is to take all the positive aspects from previous S.A.S.A.'s and add new elements to them, in order to make S.A.S.A. 2007 one of the best and most anticipated conferences ever.

Finally the S.A.S.A. Conference descends on the party capital of the world- South Beach Miami. People have long said- they can't wait for the day that the Conference is held in Miami- well now it's happening. Miami has it all- amazing weather (even in January), beaches, nightlife, palm trees... you name it.

Also, you'll notice that this year we are holding it a week earlier than previous years. This will work out for many in that you can make your plans to spend New Year's Eve in Miami, or for those who don't want to miss any time from school- this 1st weekend in January is ideal. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to attend S.A.S.A. Miami!

The festivities, begin on Thursday, January 4th, 2007 and run through to Monday, January 8th, 2007. We encourage all registrants, schedule permitting, to participate in as many activities that are taking place as possible.

NOMINATION FOR S.A.S.A. AWARDS
We cordially invite you and the members of your organization to submit nominations for the 2007 S.A.S.A. Awards. Input will be taken from ISA's, students and organizations that will assist in the S.A.S.A. Conference. A complimentary registration to the S.A.S.A. Conference will be given to anyone who first nominates an individual that eventually becomes an award-winner. For more information on how to nominate someone, click here.
