The South Asian Student Alliance (S.A.S.A.) is an organization representing university students across North America. S.A.S.A. raises awareness of social, religious, and political issues affecting youths between the ages of 18 and 23. Once a year, students gather from across North America at a conference to discuss and learn about their heritage. We are proud to say that the 2007 Conference will be taking place in sunny Miami, FL.
The conference will be held from January 4, 2007 to January 8, 2007 at Deauville Beach Resort in Miami, FL. Additionally, we are organizing a large Culture Show at the historic Jackie Gleason Theater in the heart of South Beach, with thousands expected to attend.
Over the past 19 years, the S.A.S.A. Conference has grown exponentially from hundreds of students to last year's record attendance of over 2500 students in New York City. This year we plan on attracting over 3000 students from across North America, providing an excellent advertising medium targeting university students from across the continent.
Our itinerary for the event includes several keynote speakers. These speakers will be well known political and business people from South Asian and non- South Asian backgrounds. Additionally, the conference will feature various workshops, a Culture Show, and several networking sessions.
As we prepare for S.A.S.A. 2007, we would like to extend an invitation to any organization, corporation, or individual to become involved in this tremendous event.
